Vocational Training for Tea Garden Workers Organised by Tea Tribe Welfare Department

DIBRUGARH: A training programme was launched by the Tea Tribe Welfare Department, Assam on Saturday at the Labour Welfare Centre, Chota Tingrai in the Tinsukia district.

The programme was organized by the Deputy Labour and Welfare Commissioner, Assam Tea Employees Welfare Board (ATEWB), Konmai Das, under the active leadership of the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia. At the end of the training programme, vocational training certificates were distributed by Labour Minister Sanjay Kishan. Sixty six participants who underwent training on embroidery, knitting, mason and other trades at the centre were distributed certificates. Minister Sanjay Kishan informed about various government welfare schemes meant for garden workers.
