Programme on mathematics 'Ganitor Xoite Khelu Aha' held in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Under the aegis of Assam Academy of Mathematics, Golaghat branch, a programme named 'Ganitor Xoite Khelu Aha' (Let's play with Mathematics) was held on Thursday at Reliance Senior Secondary School in Golaghat. Also, a Mathematics Club was formed.

Assam Academy of Mathematics Golaghat branch president and Principal of HPB Girls'College Golaghat, Dr Bipul Chandra Bhuyan was present as chief guest. Principal of Reliance Senior Secondary School, Priyanka Saikia Das welcomed the guests and students. Rector Dr TN Hazarika, Vice-Principal Lakhyajyoti Dowerah, and other dignitaries were present in the programme. In the programme, publicity for the upcoming Ganit Mela which is scheduled to be held at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Golaghat on April 25 and April 26 was also done.

Assam Academy of Mathematics Executive Member and lecturer at Furkating Polytechnic, Siddhartha Pratim Gogoi interacted with the students and gave hints on how to get rid of mathematics phobia and how learning mathematics could be made fun. A Mathematics Club of Reliance Senior Secondary School was also formed on Thursday with Kaushiki Nanda Dowerah as president and Soubhik Pal as vice-president.
