Progress of several water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission reviewed in Tinsukia District

DOOMDOOMA : District Commissioner of Tinsukia district, Swapnil Paul who chaired the meeting of the District Level Water and Sanitation Committee held at the District Commissioner’s Office on Friday reviewed the progress of several water supply schemes under construction in the district under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The meeting also discussed the difficulties faced in completing the construction of public water supply schemes in various parts of the district and the necessary steps to be taken in this regard.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Commissioner (ADC) of Public Health-Technical Department Leena Kumari Pawe, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sadiya Sub-Division ADC Manas Jyoti Nath, Election Officer Kankanjyoti Saikia and other officials of Public Health-Technical Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department of the District. DC Swapnil Paul stressed the need of early implementation of the ongoing projects in view of its utility, urgency and greater interest of public health.
