Projects review meeting organized in Margherita

TINSUKIA: A developmental review meeting was held at the office of the SDO (Civil) Margherita with Palash Rajkumar Ahom, ADC in-charge Margherita, on the chair on Saturday where heads and officials of all departments were present. The objective of the meeting was to take stock of different activities and status of the schemes undertaken by the departments.

The ADC in-charge stressed on the need for construction of all-weather developmental roads and said that such projects should be incorporated under the 'Ahom Mela Scheme'.

He also asked the PWRD officials to repair roads along the borders of Arunachal Pradesh for inter-district connectivity on priority basis. The Water Resource Department was asked to come up with long-term plan to deal with any damage during floods.

Expressing concern over the non-payment of electricity bills by the consumers of tea gardens, Ahom advised the APDCL for regular monthly reading and dispatch of bills after end of each cycle. He also directed the PHE department to focus on the ongoing 'Jal Jeevan Mission'. He further asked the other departments to expedite the works at their disposal.
