Proprietor of Srijon an English medium school passes away

DIBRUGARH: Proprietor of Srijon, an English medium school, Arfinz Zunaid Rahman passed away at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) on Tuesday due to COVID. He was 59

Son of renowned physician and former Vice-Principal of Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dr Alfred Rahman, and Foujia Rahman, former English announcer of All India Radio, Dibrugarh AIR and a renowned social activist, Arfin passed HSLC from Don Bosco Dibrugarh in 1978 and later pursued his higher studies at NEHU in Meghalaya. He is survived by his wife, besides his mother and a host of admirers.

His last rite was performed at local Naliapool Burial Ground on Wednesday adhering to COVID protocol strictly.
