NAGAON: Kirti Kamal Bora, former AASU activist who was crippled in an alleged fake police encounter during an operation against drug peddlers at Nagaon Kachalukhuwa last year, on Sunday staged a sit-in against the ‘killing’ of Dimbeswar Mushahary, a farmer of Udalguri in front of Nagaon police station.

During the stir, the former AASU activist also displayed placard. Taking a dig at the Assam Police, Kirti Kamal Bora said that due to a fake police encounter, one of his legs became shorter and his life has been affected.. AAP leader Birinchi Bora, social activist as well as writer Dulal Bora and Rupam Bora also accompanied Kirti Kamal Bora during his protest. Participating in the agitation, Birinchi Bora said that during the tenure of the AGP government, secret killings terrorized the public life and currently during the BJP-led government, innocent people are becoming victims of the Assam Police. Birinchi Bora sought a judicial probe into the killing of farmer Dimbeswar Mushahary.
