Psychiatric Social Work, LGBRIMH Tezpur observes World Social Work Day

Tezpur: The Department of Psychiatric Social Work, LGBRIMH Tezpur celebrated the World Social Work Day at LGBRIMH auditorium by organizing a one-day seminar on ‘Promoting Human Relationships through Social Systems’. Social worker Meenkashi Bhuyan, president of Tezpur Mahila Samiti was the chief guest for this programme.

Dr. Sonia P Deuri, Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatric Social Work, LGBRIMH, Tezpur gave the welcome address and Dr. Sobhana H Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatric Social Work, LGBRIMH unfurled the theme of the World Social Work Day. Dr. Bino Thomas, Assistant Professor, NIMHANS Bengaluru was an invited guest. Dr. Aparajeeta Baruah, In Charge Academics and Professor and Head Department of Psychiatry , LGBRIMH also gave a talk. The inaugural programme was followed by a seminar on ‘Social Systems, the Building Blocks for Human Relationships’.
