GOLAGHAT: Pub Kamarbondha Krishi Gut, a society established in the year 2021, launched value-added products under the brand name ‘KANCHAN’ on Tuesday.
The District Commissioner of Golaghat, Dr P. Uday Praveen officially inaugurated the products in the District Commissioner’s Office in presence of ADC Syed Wasbir Subhani, Porikshit Dutta, Assistant Director of Agriculture Krishna Ranjan Saikia and Abhishek Singha.
The advisor of Pub Kamarbondha Krishi Gut, Porikshit Dutta delivered the welcome note and spoke about the origin, mission and vision and future strategies of Pub Kamarbondha Krishi Gut. District Commissioner Dr P. Uday Praveen congratulated the members of Pub Kamarbondha Krishi Gut on the successful execution in the field of value-addition. He urged them to be innovative and produce refined value-added products which would not only meet their commercial aspirations but also suit the taste of consumers. The District Commissioner appealed them to continue their hard work which would lead Golaghat district to progress.
He further added that the district administration of Golaghat was always willing to extend co-operation and support to the farming community. “Apart from gains in farming, the farmers should also concentrate more on value-added products. Everyone should honour the farmers as it is they who provide us food. Farmers too can become entrepreneurs in their own right and this needs some hard work and innovative ideas,” he said while assuring that the district administration will consider farmer issues proactively and take necessary steps for their redressal.
