Public meeting held in Dibrugarh DC office to discuss proposal to build park

Dibrugarh: A public meeting took place in the DC office on Friday regarding discussions over the proposed project to build a park under ‘Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation’ in the northeastern direction of the Chowkidinghee Field. The meeting was attended by MLA Prashanta Phukan, DC Pallav Gopal Jha, various students’ unions of the district, representatives of sports unions and senior citizens.

In the meeting that was called by the DA, it was decided that the ongoing works under the said scheme, which is, broadening of the jogging track and installation of lights for maintaining sufficient light, would continue. Moreover, it was informed by the District Administration that the decision regarding construction a park within the perimeter of the encircling jogging track would be reconsidered.
