Quiz competition on road safety organized in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: The District Road Safety Committee, Chirang, on Friday organized a district-level quiz competition on road safety measures to generate awareness among the students at Kashikotra Higher Secondary School.

Attending as guests of the programme, Assistant Commissioner, Chirang, Kushal Kalita and Inspector Schools Bijay Baishnab, including District Transport Officer Deepak Patowary and Assistant Enforcement Inspector Manaj Basumatary, informed regarding rules, regulations, signs and signals of traffic to ensure safety measures while driving.

They also urged the people in general to wear helmets while riding two-wheelers and fastening seat belts and not exceeding speed limit on roads while driving four-wheelers as these measures are considered keys of road safety. During the quiz competition, how to maintain safety on the roads by following rules with safe driving tips were widely covered.
