PATHSALA: Along with the rest of the State, Rabha Divas was observed in various parts of Bajali district on Sunday. Bishnu Rabha Divas was celebrated at Udayan Sangha, Pathsala. The programme was inaugurated by Satish Talukdar, SDO, Agriculture department, Mushalpur, by lighting the The members of Udayan Sangha participated in the programme while adhering to COVID protocol. Cultivators, a well-known music band of the State, observed Rabha Divas in a unique way at Kalibari Than of Jalikhata where the 209-year old banyan tree is located. Nityananda Anchalik Students' Union also observed Rabha Divas with various programmes.

JAMUGURIHAT: Many organizations of the greater Jamugurihat observed Rabha Divas. The Nagsankar Natya Bhawan Committee observed Rabha Divas by planting 100 saplings inside the Natya Bhavan premises. The Jamuguri regional committee of Natun Sahitya Parishad, in collaboration with Sudarshan Sanskritik Mancha, Jamugurihat, observed Rabha Divas by maintaining COVID protocol. The members of the literary organizations offered floral tribute and read out poems. Udayan Kala Parishad, a socio-cultural organization of Samar Dalani, organized an online multilingual poetry circle in connection with Rabha Divas on Google Meet. Dr. Chintamoni Sarma, Principal of Biswanath College, graced the occasion as an appointed speaker and he highlighted the life, works and cultural contribution of the music maestro, that was followed by a multilingual poetry circle held with Chhatraman Subba, a known critic, in the chair.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Along with the rest of the State, the 52nd Rabha Divas was also observed here under the aegis of Biswanath Chariali Xahitya Xabha, in association with Biswanath district unit of the literary body, following COVID protocol. Indra Prasad Saikia, a well-known writer, gave a detailed presentation on the life and philosophy of Bishnu Prasad Rabha. He said that the need for Bishnu Prasad Rabha would always remain in the Assamese society. He regretted that the current syllabus did not include poems by a person like Rabha and requested the authorities to include poems composed by him in the textbooks. In the meeting, Kamal Chandra Bhuyan, president of the branch, said that the Axam Xahitya Xabha should bear the main responsibility of establishing Kalaguru in the world scenario and taking his ideals to the new generation.
