DOOMDOOMA: "Bishnu Prasad Rabha was an indomitable personality in converting challenges into opportunity," said leading intellectual Mayur Bora while speaking as a chief guest in a webinar on Bishnu Rabha Divas organized by Padma Nath Gohain Baruah (PNGB) Government Model College, Kakapather in association with Doomdooma Sakha Lekhika Samaroh Samity (DSLSS) on Sunday.
Dwelling at length on various aspects of Bishnu Prasad Rabha's life, he said, "We can draw lessons from him in the face of the current challenges of COVID pandemic." To drive home his point he cited the incident of Bishnu Prasad Rabha not being allowed to enter a Vashnavite place of worship in lower Assam on the ground that he was a tribal. To this, Rabha being unmoved, later gave a fitting reply by drawing the portrait of the great Vaishnava saint of Assam - Sri Sri Shankardeva. "This shows how one can convert challenges into opportunities," Bora. The webinar was inaugurated by Principal, Dr Thanuram Majinder while Dr Meena Devi Baruah, former president, DSLSS, welcomed the guests.
