Rangapara By-elections: Central Observer Assesses Law and Order

Tezpur: General Observer for the by-elections to 74-Rangapara LAC, Pabitra Mondal on Wednesday took stock of the law-and-order situation ahead of the polls in the presence of Additional District Magistrate KK Sarma, Superintendent of Police Kumar Sanjit Krishna, and Election Officer Subhram Aditya Bora. The officers apprised the observer about the various steps taken to ensure a free and peaceful election in the constituency. Pabitra Mondal assessed the security aspects and steps taken to carry out vulnerability mapping across the entire constituency and made necessary suggestions in this connection. Superintendent of Police Kumar Sanjit Krishna informed that they had identified seven vulnerable hamlets covering 35 vulnerable polling stations in the constituency.
