Rangia-based 24th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal rescues 8 persons

GUWAHATI: The Rangia-based 24th Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), based on an intelligence input, rescued eight persons in a joint operation with the police, stated a press release.

The rescued persons included five adults (one man and four women) and three minors (two girls and one boy). All of them hail from Tamulpur in Assam.

They were rescued from Veraval in Gujarat in collaboration with the Gujarat Police.

All of them reached Guwahati from Gujarat on Wednesday and were handed over to Kumarikata Police.
