Ranjeet Kumar Dass takes stock of developmental works at Namsang Tea Estate

DIBRUGARH: Assam Panchayat and Rural Development minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Thursday visited the residential colony of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) at Namsang Tea Estate under Jaipur Development Block in Dibrugarh. The minister took stock of the quality and progress of work of each of the houses under construction in the residential colony.

A total of 113 houses have been constructed in this colony under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin).

He visited the roads, model Anganwadi centres, children parks and water supply schemes of Jal Jeevan Mission of MGNREGA’s Pavers block, which is under construction within the said colony.

Dass also took stock of the progress of these works. Talking to media persons after the visit, Ranjeet Kumar Dass said the residential colony of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, which is under construction at Namsang Tea Estate, is the largest residential colony in the entire country.

He also mentioned that the construction of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin in the state is going on at a fast pace. Dass further said that the government has taken steps to provide one house and related facilities by constructing such residential colonies for every eligible landless family in the state.
