TEZPUR: The students of RAWEP (Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme) KVK, Sonitpur held a programme for the release of souvenir 'Hako' via the e-platform.
Bhagab Dev Sarma and Bipasha Borkotoky are the editors of the souvenir, which was inaugurated by the head of Sonitpur KVK, Dr Promod Chandra Deka. In his inaugural speech, he cited the importance of the bridge between the lab and farm for smooth flow of information and technology to the farming community. He also encouraged the students to take a step forward in bridging the gap between the lab and farm in future.
All subject-matter specialists of Sonitpur KVK — including the programme supervisor of the RAWEP-2021, Dr Namita Dutta — were present in the programme. The souvenir Hako includes poems, articles, interview sessions, drama and success stories to motivate the local farmers in their farming practices.
