RD Junior College provided scholarships to meritorious students

DIGBOI: More than 30 meritorious students from economically weak background from across Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts were provided scholarship certificates by RD Junior College. The selected meritorious students who passed the HSLC exam this year successfully will be provided with two years of free education and free accommodation by the RD fraternity.

Briefing the recipients of the scholarship at the auditorium of Digboi RD Junior College recently, Dibya Jyoti Dey, the Principal of the college, spoke about the competitive scenario in the field of education and said that every new day brought new challenges.

"We are proud that the educational objectives, dreams and visions of Rameswar Dhanowar, the founding chairman of the Trust are fast materializing," said Simi Dhanowar, the Director of the college. She added, "He was always in favour of motivating and supporting the cause of education for the poor and the downtrodden."
