‘Reignite patriotism and love towards our country’- Dr. P Uday Praveen at Sarupathar in Golaghat

SARUPATHAR: The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated at Sarupathar in Golaghat district. The event started at 9 am on Thursday with patriotic songs being sung and flag community flag being hoisted in addition to the tricolor adorning the rooftops. The subdivisional officer Dr. P Uday Praveen hoisted the flag at the common field at Sarupathar.

On the other hand, the administration and the public of Dhansiri subdivision observed this day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The police administration of Dhansiri subdivision, students from various schools and colleges were doing march-past in the presence of the huge audience. This is an important day in India’s history to pay our respect and remember the Indian freedom fighters who contributed to the country’s freedom. “15th August is also a day to celebrate our freedom and reignite patriotism and love towards our country”, said SDO(c) of Dhansiri Subdivision.
