UDALGURI: Renowned litterateur and journalist Jaganidhi Dahal passed away at the age of 73.

Some of his authored books include Hing Nabhaye Pani Hing Bandheko Talo, Manchhe Chyapne Machine, Hing Bandheko Talo and a short story book Vyatha-Katha. 

He was a part-time correspondent of Purvanchal Prahari for a period of time. For his contribution to Nepali language movement, he was honoured by the title of Bhasa Senani by the State Committee of Akhil Bharatiya Nepali Bhasa Samiti.

He served as a Hindi teacher at Lailongpara ME School during the period 1975 to 2007. Dahal had edited numreous periodicals and souvenirs during his lifetime and his demise was widely condoled in and around the Udalguri district.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, two son in laws and grand children. The Udalguri District Nepali SahityaSabha, Udalguri Press Club among others has expressed deep anguish over his demise.
