Renowned Poet Gopal Singh Nepali Remembered on His Birth Anniversary at Udalguri

UDALGURI: Renowned poet Gopal Singh Nepali was remembered on his birth anniversary at Udalguri. The poet was born on August 11 in 1911 at Betia village in Bihar. Baidyanath Upadhyaya elaborated the poet’s contribution to Indian society at a meeting organized by Aditya Akademy. Laxman Adhikari also commemorated Gopal Singh Nepali and recited his poems. In the meeting, Tarapati Upadhyaya and Bidyapati Dahal were also honoured for their contribution to the society. Hari Bhakta Sarmah, the principal of the school, chaired the meeting.
