DUDHNOI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora expressed confidence that the Congress-led Grand Alliance would win in all the 47 constituencies that went to polls in the first phase, the 39 constituencies that went to polls in the second phase on April 1 and all the constituencies that will be going to polls in the thirds phase on April 6. He was addressing an election meeting at Krishnai in Goalpara district on Friday. "The congress-led alliance government will be formed in Assam to end the corrupt rule of the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP)," he said.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister BhupeshBaghel also strongly criticized the BJP at the election meeting held at Jharabari in Mayabazar near Krishnai. Baghel in his brief speech criticized Chief Minister SarbanandaSonowal. He said that Prime Minister NarendraModi never remembered the people of Assam at the time of floods but now he was coming to the State again and again to woo voters. Baghel said that the people would remove the BJP from power this time.
BhupeshBaghel as well as All India Congress Committee general secretary Jitendra Singh were present in the meeding, along with leaders like former Meghalaya Chief Minister DrMukulSangma.
