Road accident kills one at Nagopara village in Boko

BOKO: A terrible road accident took place on Sunday night at NH 17 when an auto-rickshaw collided with a Hyundai Grand i10 car at Nagopara village in Boko. In this accident, the driver Siddhartha Das (45 years) of the auto-rickshaw died on the spot. On the other hand, three other passengers were seriously injured. Boko Police rescued the injured and admitted them into Boko Primary Health Centre.

They were later referred to GMCH for better treatment. According to a passenger of the auto-rickshaw, as the fuel tank of the auto got empty, they were pushing the rickshaw when a Hyundai Grand i10 car without a number plate collided with the rickshaw. After the incident, the driver of the car fled away. Meanwhile, Boko police found id cards and Meghalaya police uniforms in the vehicle. Investigation is on.
