Haflong: Most of the disrupted road communication, except Lanka-Umrangsu in Dima Hasao, has been restored but the condition of Haflong-Silchar continues to remain in bad shape though few cruiser services are there in the name of public transportation.

Due to continuous rainfall since the last three days, almost all the roads leading to Haflong were blocked as landslide and flash flood occurred in many places of the district. Roads blocked due to landslide included the Silchar-Shillong Road, N.Leikul-Jatinga-Retzawl Road, Retzawl-Diyung Road and Fiangpui-PGHJ road. There was water-logging at Langting railway station and Harichandrapur in Maibang. Landslide occurred at Fiangpui, Upper Muolhoi, Songpijang and Saron.

At least four irrigation schemes were affected at Diyungmukh sub-division (Irrigation) Diyungmukh. No casualty has been reported so far. Road communication from Haflong to Guwahati has not been disrupted but from Haflong to Silchar it is very challenging.
