Robbers arrested by Bongaigaon Police

BONGAIGAON: Bongaigaon Police succeeded in busting a gang of robbers on Wednesday night. Sib Prasad Kalita, IC, New Bongaigaon police outpost, said that they had a case of laptop robbery from Railway BG Colony area of New Bongaigaon. "We started investigation into the matter and after getting confirmed information, conducted a raid in a xerox shop named Rekib Enterprise at Ambari Tiniali under Baguan PS of Goalpara district. Owner of the shop, Shariful Islam was also arrested and from his statement, Saijuddin Ali from the same area was arrested. From his possession, a stolen mobile phone was recovered. Both were produced in court and taken under police remand for two days," Kalita said.
