Rotary Club of Duliajan held its 36th installation programme following COVID protocol

TINSUKIA: The Rotary Club of Duliajan held its 36th installation programme on Sunday adhering to COVID protocol with Club president Rajumoni Gogoi calling the meeting to order in presence of Installation Officers- Aditya Goswami and Deputy Governor of 3240 of Rotary District Zone 12, Sanjeeb Gogoi.

Club secretary Bimal Borgohain presented the activity report of year 2020-2021 which was followed by handing over the charge to Sunil Borgohain and Sukungta Monlai, the newly-elected president and secretary respectively. Five new members have been inducted in year 2021-2022, among whom Dr NK Das, Laishram Imocha and Amrit Sarkar were present. The installation officer Goswami administered the oath to newly-inducted members.

A 20-member executive committee was constituted under the leadership of Sunil Borgohain and 14 senior members have been assigned to oversee the Club activities as directors. The Club also felicitated former presidents. Among those who addressed the gathering were Rotarians Aditya Goswami, Tridiv Hazarika, Sanjeeb Gogoi and Karunjyoti Saikia.
