Rs 95,000 seized by Flying Squad Team in Tezpur

TEZPUR: An amount of Rs. 95,000 was seized by a Flying Squad Team led by Dhrubajyoti Borah and ASI Diganta Nath of Dhekiajuli PS on Saturday during checking of vehicles at Tripurari Chowk, Thelamara under Dhekiajuli LAC in Sonitpur district. The person carrying the money hails from Kuruabahi, Jamuguri of Udalguri district and could not produce valid supporting documents. Hence the money was sent to the treasury office, Tezpur after counting. The owner has been asked to produce relevant documents to claim the money back and inquiries are underway.
