GAURISAGAR: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), a premier institute of Sivasagar, has organized a 10-day long training programme on pisciculture at its Sivasagar Dhai Ali office. The training programme began on April 1.

The training was formally inaugurated by Ram Chandra Thowsen, District Fishery Development Officer (DFDO), Sivasagar. The other dignitaries who attended the inaugural function were John Robert, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Sivasagar Zila Parishad; Pabitra Kr. Borah, Director of RSETI; faculties and office staff of RSETI.

The trainees hail from various development blocks of Sivasagar district, especially from rural areas. The whole programme is sponsored by Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM) and its purpose is to make each trainee self employed and also uplift their economic condition though rearing of fish scientifically.
