Guwahati: As the evacuation continues from the war-hit country Ukraine under operation Ganga, another six more students from Assam landed safely in Delhi on Sunday.

These six students were identified as Bhaswati Goswami (Guwahati), Mrigakshi Kalita (Nalbari), Saddam Hussain (Nagaon), Mumshad Hujaef Uddin Ahmed (Nagaon), Nayan Jyoti Das (Nagaon) and Sneha Deka (Guwahati).

The students were received by the officials of Assam Bhawan in Delhi and were taken to the same place.

For the time being, these students will stay there until and unless the arrangements are made to take them from Delhi to Assam.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been regularly chairing high-level meetings over the Ukraine crisis.

As per the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), around 13,300 people have returned to the country so far.

The Ministry further informed that almost all Indians have left Kharkiv city in Ukraine and the main focus of the government is to evacuate citizens from the Sumy area as it is challenging amid ongoing violence and lack of transportation.

In a bid to ease the evacuation process, the Indian government has deployed 'special envoys' to five neighbouring countries which share a border with Ukraine.
