Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad organized Swahid Divas

GAURISAGAR: Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) organized Swahid Divas centrally at Gaurisagar ASTC Bus stand complex on Wednesday in Sivasagar district. During Assam Agitation, a total of 68 employees in different parts of the State dedicated their lives. SAKP has been observing Swahid Divas every year on November 1 in fond memory of the first martyr Dilip Chakraborty. The day-long programme started with hoisting of the flag by Promode Baruah, BEEO, Amguri Elementary Education Block. The swahid tarpan function was performed by Ranjan Gogoi, an executive of SAKP. Later, Bikash Chaliha, principal of Deoraja Janata HS school lighted the lamp.

Thereafter, a symposium was held on the topic evaluation of the sacrifice of martyrs. The symposium was conducted by Ranjan Mahanta, an executive member of SAKP while Mrinanka Saikia, joint Secretary of SAKP anchored the whole programme.

Phulbor Dihingia, Promode Goswami former executive members of SAKP, former SAKP vice president Mintu Das took part as appointed speakers. The speakers emphasized the supreme sacrifices of SAKP martyrs. The vote of thanks was offered by Sunjit Saikia, an executive member of SAKP.
