Child Abuse Case: Sangeeta Datta's Charge Sheet to be Filed by the Police Today

GUWAHATI:In connection with the heinous child abuse case in Guwahati, the Pan Bazaar Police is prepared to charge sheet Sangeeta Datta.

The police are prepared to file a charge sheet in the current case involving Sangeeta Datta because Datta is due to appear in court for the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) programme on Saturday.

Utpala Bose, Datta's personal assistant, who was previously detained for questioning, is still in the care of the Pan Baazar Women police station.

Both Sangeeta Datta and Utpala Bose reportedly had new health screenings.

On May 12, Diganta Barah, the commissioner of police for Guwahati, arrived at the Pan Bazar Women's Police Station, where he is scheduled to examine Dr. Sangeeta Datta.

After three days on the run, Utpala Bose was apprehended by the police. She is charged with setting up links for the discredited medical couple who have been accused of abusing their own children to pick up youngsters unlawfully.

On May 10, the chief judicial magistrate's court prolonged Dr. Waliul Islam's police custody for a further five days as a co-accused in the horrifying child abuse case.

After his five days in police custody were up, the city police brought the accused Waliul Islam before the court. The Guwahati police filed a request to keep Waliul Islam in jail for an additional five days.

That morning, Dr. Sangeeta Datta, the primary suspect in the child abuse case and wife of Islam, was brought from Pan Bazaar Police Station to the forensic department of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for a physical examination.

A journalist was detained for his involvement in the horrible child abuse case, which was a significant development at the time. Abhijit Bose has been revealed to be the individual in custody. According to rumours, he is the brother of Sangeeta Datta, the personal assistant of the accused doctor.

Abhijit Bose revealed to media representatives that Utpala Bose had spoken with Sangeeta Datta in 2019. Utpala Bose had previously worked for a company called "Cordlife," which conserved newborn newborns' umbilical cords.

According to sources, Abhijit had phone chats in which he offered his older sister security. Due to his assistance in defending the accused, he was placed under Section 120(B) detention; however, he was eventually freed following questioning.
