Sanitary pad vending machine installed in Dibrugarh University

DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh University (DU) AASU unit has taken a new initiative for the first time ever in the university campus by successfully installing a sanitary pad vending machine near the central canteen of Dibrugarh University. The AASU unit has already announced that the sanitary pads will be delivered free to all the girls of university. Priyakshi Mahanta, warden of Joymoti Chatri Nivas and Assistant Professor of Centre for Studies in Computer Science and Application, along with Manashri Chetia, warden of Nalinibala Devi Chatri Nivas and Assistant Professor of Centre for Studies in Philosophy, inaugurated the vending machine.

The president in-charge of Dibrugarh University AASU unit had mentioned about their plan and campaigning regarding the sanitary pad machine installation. The president in-charge said that the AASU unit would be continuously putting all efforts to ensure sanitary pad vending machine in the all hostels and departments of Dibrugarh University.
