Sanitization Drive By Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR) in Chirang District

DHUBRI: In view of the second wave of COVID-19 hitting hard across the nation, Bongaigaon Refinery (BGR), in collaboration with Chirang district administration, carried out sanitization in various public places in Chirang district recently.

Under the sanitization drive, spraying of disinfectant was done in and around the Refinery premises, police stations, vaccination centres, market area, public road, markets and other public places in the district. A schedule for sanitization at various public places was prepared by DDMA, Chirang. The massive sanitization drive was carried out by the Fire & Safety department of Bongaigaon Refinery.

"They are deploying their old and spare fire tender for spraying the sanitizing liquid. Sanitization is one of the key weapons against the double mutant of COVID-19 and to break this chain of the pandemic. It is also important to mention that apart from sanitization drive, Bongaigaon Refinery has taken various initiatives in the fight against the pandemic, including increasing awareness about the virus and its prevention, setting up of COVID Care Centre in the township and vaccination drive to name a few," a BGR official said.
