DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of NGO Xahari and with active co-operation of All Assam Students Union (AASU), All Moran Students Union (AMSU), Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad (TAYP), Muttack Yuba-Chatra Sanmilani (MYCS), a sanitization programme of educational institutions of Doomdooma area was started at Doomdooma College on Monday.

Principal Dr. P. J. Barthakur inaugurated the programme. On behalf of Xahari president Shivajit Dutta, working president Deben Deka, treasurer Dwijen Sarma were present while Kalyan Moran and Prabhakar Sarma secretary and president respectively, AJYCP, Jagat Buragohain, president, TAJP, Arun Dutta, Secretary, MYCS attended the programme on behalf of their respective organisations.

As a part of the programme, the class rooms were sanitized after the end of the classes and around 200 masks and hand sanitizers were distributed among the students in the meeting which was addressed by Associate Professor Dipak Ranjan Baruah, Journalist Dinesh Goyal, Industrialist Raj kumar Garodia, AASU Secretary Pratim Neog and AMSU Secretary Padmajit Moran. The programme was anchored by Ratul Gogoi, General Secretary of Xahari. Jay Narayan Bansal, an alumni of Doomdooma College was felicitated in the meeting.
