Sashastra Seema Bal Rangia celebrates the 10th Raising Day

RANGIA: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Rangia Sector Headquarters, celebrated its 10th Raising Day on Wednesday. Various functions were held to commemorate the day.

The day began with the guard of honour display and briefing of the troops by Jagdeep Pal Singh, DIG SHQ Rangia. The troops were motivated to serve the nation under all circumstances, following the motto of Service, security, and Brotherhood. In connection with the day, 60 blood donors from this Sector who had donated blood as a mark of respect for the 60th Raising Day of the Force, which would fall on December 20, 2023, were facilitated.

The officials and officers of the sector headquarters met with the Blood Bank Authorities of GMCH, Guwahati. Schoolchildren who had participated in an inter-school essay competition conducted on the theme of Har Aangan Yoga were also facilitated in collaboration with local NGO Aarnayak. Plantations were also done in and around the area.

The mother of martyr Nakul Ch. Medhi and his family members were also honoured on this occasion. The day was concluded with a cultural programme.
