Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) to celebrate 58th Raising Day

BAKSA: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) will celebrate its 58th anniversary on December 20, 2021. On this occasion, 64 BN SSB has been awarded runners-up for Best Administrative SSB Battalion award-2021 on the basis of welfare measures, training, inspections as well as various administrative issues. 64 BN SSB has its temporary headquarter at Howly while the AOR of this unit falls under Baksa district of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).

Nand Kishor Tamta, Commandant 64 BN, said that this award would boost the morale of all personnel of 64 BN and encourage them to keep the flag of this unit flying high in future. He also added despite limited resources, this battalion had organized many welfare activities in the AOR of this unit.

On the occasion of the 58the Raising Day, Nand Kishor Tamta will receive the President Police medal for distinguished service along with SI/GD Dharam Singh who will receive Police medal for meritorious service.
