DIBRUGARH: Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, North East Circle, RS Ramesh, accompanied by General Manager, Network-I, Suranjana Dutta, presently are on tour to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
SBI employees here gave them a warm welcome on their arrival at Mohanbari Airport recently. During his visit to Padmini Resort in Tinsukia, they were welcomed by the children from Gyanankush Orpanage, followed by a cultural function. CGM, NE Circle SBI, Ramesh, under the Corporate Social Responsibility of the bank, donated some articles for the benefit of the children of Gyanankush Orphanage. He visited some of the SBI branches of Arunachal Pradesh and interacted with the people from various organizations. The CGM, after a night halt at Namsai Pagoda in Arunachal Pradesh, returned to Dibrugarh on Thursday.
Deputy General Manager, Dibrugarh and other employees of SBI will give him a warm welcome at the Administrative Office, Chiring Chapori on Friday. In the evening, CGM will meet some eminent individuals and businesspersons in and around Dibrugarh along with bank officials of this region. Before his departure to Guwahati on December 19, the CGM will visit SBI, Dibrugarh branch, the first branch of the erstwhile Imperial Bank of India in the Northeast, established way back on May 1, 1923.
