Screening test camp set up at Nagrijuli along Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri international link road

TAMULPUR: A screening test camp had been set up at Nagrijuli along Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri international link road by doctors and staff of Nagrijuli Model Hospital in the district of Baksa.

Amid the COVID-19 crisis, a number of people working in various districts across the State are returning home in ASTC buses provided by the State Government. Using Tamulpur-Nagrijuli- Udalguri international link road, a number of people have been returning to Nagrijuli in the district of Baksa. According to the order of the local civil administration, all the migrants have been sent to this camp for their health check-up before entering their homes.

On Tuesday, more than 50 persons were screened with thermal machine and recorded their body temperature. The medical team has also recorded their name, address and travel history and advised them to be quarantined for 14 days in their own homes. In-charge of Nagrijuli Model Hospital, Dr. Manohar Das told media persons that a number of people used to travel through the Tamulpur-Nagrijuli-Udalguri Road for various purposes. Moreover, citizens from Samdrup Jongkhar, Samrang and Bhairabkunda of Bhutan also come for essential commodities.

All those vehicles are stopped here and heath check-up of the people is done here with thermal machine, Dr Das said. He added that in response to the order of the State Government, this camp had been set up. He urged all people to co-operate with the steps taken by the Health Department.
