Scribe allegedly attacked at Kalibari, Uchamati area

DOOMDOOMA: Ratan Bose, a member of Doomdooma Press Club, was allegedly stabbed by one Rabi Paul on Thursday near his residence at Kalibari, Uchamati area of the town. As a result, he was badly injured and had to be hospitalized. In the meanwhile, his wife Juhi Bose lodged an FIR at Doomdooma Police Station.

In the FIR, Juhi Bose stated that Sankar Paul (Prakib), son of Rabi Paul, pelted stones on Thursday at their house when her husband Ratan Bose was on duty. On returning home, Ratan Bose came to know about the incident and went to Sankar Paul's house and met his father Rabi Paul as Sankar Paul was not at home at that time. Then Ratan asked him the reason why Sankar Paul had pelted stones in his house. This allegedly enraged Rabi Paul. He not only denied the allegation but allegedly suddenly attacked Ratan Bose from behind and injured him badly by stabbing him with a dagger. Till filing of this report, the police were not able to apprehend the culprit. In the meanwhile, Doomdooma Press Club, while condemning the incident, urged the police to apprehend and bring to book the culprit in no time.
