Scribe expelled from Tinsukia District Journalists’ Association

TINSUKIA: In an emergent executive meeting of the Tinsukia District Journalists’ Association (TDJA) held at Tinsukia Press Club on Wednesday with Anuj Kalita in the chair, Monuranjan Das. former secretary of TDJA, was expelled from primary membership of TDJA. Das was arrested along with two others on Tuesday by Digboi police on alleged extortion charges in connection with fake caste certificates under an organization-Anusuchito Jati Sangrami Yuba Parishad. The TDJA also condemned such an act.
