Search on for fake doctor in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: Police have identified another fake doctor working in the Moncotta Tea Estate as an imposter of Professor of Anatomy, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, Dr Hirak Das, on June 18.

Acting on a complaint lodged by Dr Das, the police jumped into action. However, anticipating a police bid to arrest him, he escaped from the police dragnet. Police refused to divulge any further information for the sake of enquiry but were optimistic to bring the fake doctor in their custody soon. On June 3, police arrested Simon Nag, an imposter of Dr Stephen Antony of Bangalore from Mokalbari Tea Estate which was followed by arrest of another fake medical officer, Yakub Ali on June 15 from Hatiali Tea Estate in Dibrugarh district. Arrested Ali was working at Hatiali Tea Estate as a medical officer as an imposter of Dr Yakub Ali Ahmed, working as Gynecologist in JSB Civil Hospital, Kajalgaon in Chirang district.
