Sec 144 CrPC promulgated in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: Keeping in view the present pandemic scenario and to prevent further spread of COVID-19, the District Magistrate of Tinsukia, by an order, promulgated 144 Cr PC in entire Tinsukia district, prohibiting assembly of five or more persons in public places and holding of procession/rally in any form without the permission of competent authority. The order came into force with immediate effect with exemption to essential services and people moving to vaccination centres for COVID-19 vaccination.
