Sector Head Quarter of Sasastra Seema Bal, Rangia organized an awareness programme on sexual harassment

Rangia: With a view to make working women aware of their rights, an awareness-cum-sensitization programme on sexual harassment was organized at Sector Head Quarter of Sasastra Seema Bal ( SSB,) Rangia under Kamrup district on Monday.

The event was organized by Sector Headquarter, SSB Rangia in collaboration with the district legal service authority , Kamrup, Amingaon (Assam) under the provisions of Sexual Harassment of Women (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 at workplace. It was inaugurated by  Rajiv Rana, DIG, SHQ SSB, Rangia and Jyotismita Sarma, AJS, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Kamrup, Amingaon (Assam). On their speech they spoke on various provisions under the said Act for women employee as to they can raise their voices or fight against any such crime at their workplaces. Other relevant aspects on the safety and security on the part of working women were also highlighted in the workshop.

Dr, Chandan Talukdar, CVO (SG),  Rupesh Madhuwal, Second-In-Command, Sector Headquarter, SSB Rangia along with other officers and  employees of SSB were present at the workshop.
