Seminar held on TDS for Drawing & Disbursing Officers at Tezpur

Tezpur: A seminar for all Drawing and Disbursing Officers under Sonitpur Treasury and Rangapara sub-treasury on Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)/ Tax Collected at Source (TCS) was held on Wednesday at the District Library Auditorium as a joint collaboration of Income Tax Office (TDS) Tezpur and the district administration.

Narayan Das, Income Tax Officer, was the resource person on the occasion and he gave a thorough insight into the nature of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and the proper process of collection of such tax and also spoke on the various roles and responsibilities of a Drawing and Disbursing Officer in this respect.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Parag Kakaty, Treasury Officer of Sonitpur, Tarun Saikia, heads of various institutions and government officers attended the seminar. An interactive session was also held at the end of the seminar where the resource person answered various queries put forward by the participants.
