BISWANATH CHARIALI: A seminar on new syllabus of UPSC/APSC and career counseling and guidance was organized by Chaiduar College in association with Sailaja Sankalpa on December 28 at 1 pm in Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Auditorium of Chaiduar College. Praveen Singh, Senior Faculty, Khan Study Group & Unacademy, New Delhi was the resource person of the seminar. Singh, who teaches history and arts to civil service aspirants, spoke at length about the syllabi and relevant course materials required for competitive examinations. In his highly motivating talk, Singh revealed many myths related to the toughness and odds of cracking civil service examinations, and emphasized that persistent hard work and a strong determination to excel are the keys to success. Citing the examples of recent IAS toppers from his institute, he said that going to Delhi to prepare for the civil services is not always necessary as more and more successful candidates have emerged from the smaller towns of India.
In his welcome address of the seminar, Dr. Anjan Kr. Ozah, principal of Chaiduar College, thanked Sailaja Sankalp Trust for their initiative and assistance in the organization of the seminar and also thanked Singh for coming so far to deliver his valuable lecture and share his vast experience of teaching and nurturing civil services aspirants.
