Seminar on handloom and textile held at Iragdao Community hall, Titaguri

Kokrajhar: A one-day seminar for handloom weavers was organized by Director of Handloom & Textile Department, BTC, Kokrajhar at Iragdao Community hall, Titaguri in Kokrajhar on Thursday. BTC Executive Member of Handloom, Textile and Sericulture department Bijit Gwra Narzary attended and inaugurated the seminar which was attended by over 200 weavers from various parts of Kokrajhar.

Narzary said the main objectives of the seminar were to aware, educate, support and facilities local weavers and artisans. He said the BTC administration has taken up several activities and schemes for the welfare and benefits of the local weavers and artisans. Blankets were also handed over to the weavers.

BTC Executive Member Doneswar Goyary, Managing Director of Bodoland Regional Apex Weavers & Artisans Cooperative Federation Ltd(BRAWFED) NN Rana Patgiri, BTC secretary Dharanidhar Boro, Director of BTC Handloom and Textile Ranjeet Deka were among those present in the programme.
