Seminar on socio-economic scenario of India held at Priya Gupta Memorial Hall

BONGAIGAON: "India is moving through a dangerous economic situation. The market has crashed and economic crisis has started. But still we, the people are not aware about the situation. If we are not aware soon, the country will face a dangerous situation immediately," said Dhiraj Chakraborty, secretary of Bongaigaon Chambers of Commerce, on Friday at Priya Gupta Memorial Hall.

He said this in a seminar on the topic 'National scenario on the prospective of socio-economic situation' organized by N F Railway Mazdoor Union. The seminar was conducted by Ashish Biswas, joint general secretary of N F Railway Mazdoor Union, where several noted persons, including Dr T K Bahadur, Head of the Economics department of Bongaigaon College, and Hareswar Das, secretary of CITU, Bongaigaon had participated.

Dr Bahadur said that the main reason behind this economic crisis was wrong policy of the government. Ashish Biswas and Hareswar Das criticized the government for selling the Railways and airports to the private sector.
