DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of Padma Nath Gohain Baruah Government Model ((PNGBGM) college and in association with Doomdooma College and Department of Political Science, Dibrugarh University (DU), a national level seminar on “Understanding the New Paradigm on Border Issues” was held on Tuesday.
The seminar was inaugurated by the Principal of PNGBGM college Dr. Thanuram Majinder. The seminar was attended by Dr. Dibyajyoti Dutta, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, DU.
The inaugural ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Amrit Kumar Tiwari, Associate Professor, Department of History, Arunachal University. Barun Dey, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, DU, Dr. Kamaleswar Kalita, Principal, Doomdooma College, Principal, Margherita college Dr. Atanu Kakati were present. The inaugural ceremony was moderated by Dr. Panchi Pathak, co-ordinator of the seminar. The guests were introduced by Associate Professor Josmi Gogoi of the college. The meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks by Sanjeev Kalita, Co-ordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college.
A total of 55 papers were presented at the seminar held in three technical sessions. The seminar was conducted online by Dr. Amrit Kumar Tewari, Dr Kamleswar Kalita, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Doomdooma College, Anju Konwar, Associate Professor, Political Science Doomdooma College and others. The conference was attended by researchers from Cotton University and professors from several leading colleges in Assam.
