September 3 to be celebrated as Kamatapur Day: Koch-Rajbanshi community

BONGAIGAON: Koch-Rajbanshi National Convention and Koch-Rajbanshi Yuba Chatra Sanmilani felicitated four leaders of the Koch-Rajbanshi community under whose leadership the agitation for separate Kamatapur state had come into force and resulted in the Kamatapur Autonomous Council (KAC).

Biswajit Ray, Tridip Pati Singha, Atul Ray and Traloikya Ray were felicitated on Friday. Talking to media persons, all the four leaders thanked the Assam Government for KAC. They said that victory celebration would be done in all districts of Assam. "September 3 every year will be celebrated as Kamatapur Day," they said.
