Serfanguri Post Office upgraded as Core Banking Solution Centre in Kokrajhar district

KOKRAJHAR: Debaraj Sethi, Superintendent of Post Offices, Goalpara Division, Dhubri formally inaugurated the Serfanguri Sub Post Office which is rolled out under Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform of India Post from Tuesday.

Talking to media persons, Seth said that the Serfanguri Sub Post office located in remote area of Kokrajhar district under Bodoland Territorial Region was rolled out under Core Banking Solution (CBS) platform from July 20 i.e. Serfanguri Sub Post Office has been added to networking of all CBS Post Offices across India which will allow its customers to manage their accounts from any Post office of the country. In simple words, customers don't need to visit their Post office for subsequent transactions of POSB, RD, PPF, SSA accounts; they can do it from any CBS Post Offices across India.

Sethi, graced the occasion as chief guest during formal inauguration on Tuesday. He informed that customers of Serfanguri Post Office now onwards can enjoy digital and paperless banking facility through India Post Payments Bank Accounts which also allows NEFT/RTGS/UPI transactions including Aadhar Enabled Payment Service (AEPS). He also said that people of this area can access all social security schemes of Govt of India like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana at the barest minimum premium from today. Also it's a matter of delight for locals of this area that Serfanguri Sub Post Office is offering purely governmental insurance schemes like Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life .Insurance at low premium high bonus rate. He added .
