Series of webinars held at Golaghat Commerce College

Golaghat: Under the aegis of different departments and Intra Quality Assurance Cell of Golaghat Commerce College, a series of webinars were held from August 20 to September 14.

The first webinar was held on the topic 'Higher Education Revolution: Reflections on National Education Policy 2020'. The webinar was inaugurated by the Principal of Golaghat Commerce College, Paresh Saikia. Dr Shakila Samsu, Dr Rohit Dwivedi and Dr Augustine Natuwa took part as resource persons. Similarly, another webinar was held by the Department of Economics of the college titled 'Pandemic COVID-19: The Macro economic crisis and revival'. The Banking and Law department organized a webinar on 'Professionalism and Innovative Teaching Practice in Higher Education', the Commerce and Human Resource Department organized webinar on the topic 'Entrepreneurship as a career for Youth', the Mathematics department organized a webinar on 'The Story and History of Pi (p), a mathematical content' while the Accountancy department organized a webinar on 'Changing Dimension after Pandemic'.

Such series of webinars were organized by English, Hindi, Assamese, Political Science, Geography, Economics, History and Business Management departments of Golaghat Commerce College where several professors, research scholars and students from different parts of the country took part. Apart from these series of webinars, the Women Cell of the college in association with the IQAC organized an online Faculty Development Programme on the topic 'Suffering and Survival: The Role of Women during COVID-19'. This training programme was held from September 7 to September 12.
